As usual I updated my blog on my birthday. But when I posted this before midnight, I was in Malaysia. I wasn't aware that my account is on Japanese time and it showed October 13th instead of 12th. After almost 2 years, Aritya and I are back to Malaysia and we had so much fun!
Dear Brini: This is a story of a happily married woman; post kidney transplantation. Her life struggles, blessings, endeavors, joyful moments, her passions, hopes, dreams and her thoughts; all put together for your reading pleasure.

Doctor of Philosophy
I have not posted anything for a while and I have valid reasons for it. For the past months, I was occupied with meetings with Professors, writing, re-writing, editing dissertation, presenting my work to co-workers, submissions of documents to graduate school whilst looking after my son.
During this phase, I also had 'hand-foot-mouth' disease, which was surprisingly painful but I am so thankful that gunden did not contract this disease.
Despite the crazy schedule and sleepless nights, I finally submitted my dissertation and successfully defended it on August 28, 2017! A faculty meeting a week later, screened my dissertation and doctorate application and decided to confer a doctorate degree to me on September 7, 2017.
The graduation ceremony was held on September 25, 2017 and now I have officially obtained my doctorate degree!

7th year
It is tanabata in Japan and I am relentlessly updating my blog on this day which marks the 7th year of my transplantation. It is a beautiful day today. My son is 2 year old, our life revolves around him and I am enjoying my 'second' life as it is. Thank you donor 😂

2 year old
On May 13, 2017, my son turned two. We had a celebration with our Japanese neighbours and friends and he had so much fun. I prepared cake as usual but unfortunately, it was not captured properly during the day. But he was playing around and was a bit shy when we all sang happy birthday for him. The next day, for Mother's day, we went to a restaurant with my friend Menglu and celebrated there.
